The short answer to this is no, but as you have probably already realized, I don’t deal much in short answers.
So, to properly answer your question, “Shouldn’t I be worried about the election?”, I will make four points.
First, the Bible commands us over and over again not to worry (e.g. Matthew 6:25-34 & Luke 12:22-34), not to be anxious or fearful (e.g. Philippians 4:6 & Isaiah 41:10), and to cast all our cares on the One who cares for us (1 Peter 5:6-7). No matter what the circumstance may be, as believers in Christ, we can rejoice and have hope because our final destination is secure!
Today, my soul finds great encouragement and courage in Psalm 46:1-3…
God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear,
Even though the earth be removed,
And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Though its waters roar and be troubled,
Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah
Yes, let’s selah on that for a moment. When it seems as though all hell is breaking loose upon the earth, we will not fear because God is our refuge, our hiding place, our shelter from evil. He is the strength of our hearts (Psalm 73:26). He will not and cannot abandon us because He has promised to be with us “even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20).
It is very easy for all of us who are still in these earthen vessels to become distracted by all the chaos, confusion, and calamity. When we fix our eyes back on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, we find that not only do we need not fear, but we can also rejoice in the joy of our salvation and in knowing that in the end, we win! We already know the end of the story!
Second, I am convinced beyond a doubt that President Trump will be reelected and that this will lead to the renewal of our country and America’s return to the God of our fathers. However, his reelection will not be on account of how well he campaigns, how poorly Biden and the Democrats campaign, how perfectly we pray and stand, or how much we repent.
It will be on account of God’s mercy alone that the United States of America is spared for four more years. At this point, there is absolutely nothing we can say or do to earn His mercy.
We cannot earn it. We cannot force it. We cannot bargain for it.
The United States does not deserve one more drop of mercy. The United States deserves for every drop of the bowls of wrath to be poured out on us now, without delay. We deserve judgement for our national sins of pedophilia, perversion, pornography, and pagan worship. Perhaps if only these were exclusive of the church, judgement might not be imminent. Unfortunately, they are rampant within our ranks and are allowed to prosper in our nation with the church’s permission.
Just like we cannot do anything to earn our salvation, this country cannot do anything to earn redemption. The Lord offers salvation; we only have to accept it. He will freely offer mercy to us because of His lovingkindness, His promise of blessing upon those who bless Israel, and His will that none should perish.
Ultimately, the Cross will have the final word.
“So, does that mean I don’t have to do anything at all?”
I’m glad you asked. That brings me to point number three:
No, you cannot quit obeying God now. You cannot quit speaking now. This is the moment when your obedience and your voice are most crucial. You must show up at the polls and vote like your religious freedom depends on it. No, you must vote like your salvation depends on it.
“That’s ridiculous. Salvation is found only in Jesus, not in how I vote,” you say.
That’s completely true, and I’m truly glad you know that, but notice that I said, “vote like your salvation depends on it,” and not, “vote because.” You see, consider if you were still unsaved and your path was charted to hell. How would you want someone else to act if they were in your shoes and knew what you know? Would you want them to have compassion on you and preserve your right to hear the Gospel message? Or would you rather them stay silent while their glorious destination is secure and yours is very much in limbo?
It’s a simple notion that goes, “So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets” (Matthew 7:12). This is your duty before God.
It goes even deeper than that, though, as we see in the book of Esther. Here we get a glimpse of what will happen to those who are selfish and indisposed to being persecuted, who are unwilling to put their lives on the altar, who are too wrapped up in their own affairs to be bothered with saving a nation. You know these verses well, I am sure.
“Do not think that because you are in the king’s house you alone of all the Jews will escape. For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:13-14, my emphasis).
Oh, yes. Even if you remain silent, deliverance will come to America, but you won’t get to be part of the rescue. God will simply use someone else…perhaps even an unbeliever. Relief and deliverance will arise from outside the “four walls,” if necessary. Indeed, the Lord will send His messengers out into the highways and byways to find those who will answer the call.
“What could be worse than that?” you might ask. Well, Scripture says you “will perish.” “But what does that mean?” I cannot answer that question fully. I do believe that for Christian leaders, it means there will be many who forfeit their “royal positions” over their refusal to vocalize their support of the president, over their silence.
So, how should you respond to the warning? Might I suggest you follow the example of Esther?
“Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my attendants will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish” (Esther 4:16, my emphasis).
Wow. That is what obedience looks like, people! When you have no regard for your own safety and are willing to break man’s law just to heed the voice of God, that is called obedience. May the boldness of Esther burst forth upon and within the people of God!
So, will you risk it all for such a time as this? I pray that you will, for I am convinced that what you choose right now, especially the choice you make in the election, will determine your future for a long time down the road. Yes, God has said that the rescue will happen with or without you, but don’t you want to be on the right side of history? Don’t you want to experience the blessings of God on your life, ministry, and business?
Then, choose Life. Stand for Life. Stand up and be counted.
All of this is not to say that God will never bless you again or you won’t go to Heaven if you make the wrong decision. However, you very well may experience consequences. To be sure, the greatest blessings and the double portion anointings will be reserved for the obedient ones.
Yes, this moment is simply that pivotal in world history. It is that crucial to the completion of the Great Commission.
Right now, this nation is faced with choosing Christ or satan in an election. (It’s true, and I plan to explain why in a later post.) If you are serious about serving God for eternity, then you must stand for Christ and stand for those who are on the side of Christ and His followers. You must stand in opposition to the spirit of anti-Christ that is raging in this land.
Many of my brothers and sisters in Christ will unfortunately take the wrong road, and I have a severe warning for those who do.
After you have defied the Lord, the enemy will trick you with a false sense of security. It will appear that you have not been phased by your disobedience. You will not feel the anointing lift. You might even experience more success to begin with, but that illusion will eventually wane and whatever carnal works are left will be burned up in the fire.
If you choose to remain silent in this hour and somehow this nation is not saved, do not think that you alone of all Christians will escape the persecution of the anti-Christ Marxists. However, if you remain silent and God does have mercy on this nation, do not be deceived in thinking your disobedience will be swept under the rug. For the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes on His name in vain, who fails to act in a manner worthy of that Name, whose lack of works renders his faith dead.
As for the rest of us, we must keep speaking, praying, and petitioning the King of kings.
Point number four will tell you why:
Again, President Donald Trump will be reelected. To that point, it doesn’t matter whether you are faithful in using your voice or not. It will happen regardless of any human or demonic resistance.
That being said, what I believe the Church has a say in changing is what the scene will look like after the election. Many prophets have seen dismal visions and dreams that hint of a civil war/unrest coming upon America in the month of November. Though I have not seen such visions myself, I do see with spiritual discernment the signs of a ticking time bomb getting ready to explode.
I do not believe it is God’s perfect will for America to undergo such an event. These messages are a warning, and they should spur us on to more and deeper prayer. Prayer may not stop all blood from being shed, but we know that “the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much” (James 5:16b).
So, righteous men and women of God, join me in spiritual warfare for our beloved America.
Lord, “while we were still sinners, Christ died” to save us. It is for this reason we know You are able and willing to save the USA even while it is still a sin-filled land. We come before Your throne of grace in humility and repentance. We acknowledge that all our human efforts are worthless unless You come. God, without You, America would have already gone under.
We ask again for You to anoint this man Donald John Trump to be our president for another four years! Give him the supernatural grace, strength, and ability to perform his job and overcome any and all attacks of the enemy! In the Name of Jesus, we send forth angelic hosts to protect him, his family, and every single righteous person in this land. We ask that You guard over this election with Your mighty hand and outstretched arm.
We boldly ask for You to do exceedingly, abundantly, and far above all that we ask. We desire for You to be Lord over America once again! Lord, we do not want an outpouring of war. We want and we need a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit, Your grace, and Your mercy on this nation. Our sins are great, but thanks be to You, the Blood of Your Son Jesus is greater!
Father, instead of the fires of division and war descending upon our land, we decree that the fire of Holy Spirit will fall on our streets, consuming every drop of hatred and shining forth the all-consuming Agape Love of God!
We decree that the weight of God’s inescapable Presence will bind up, render immovable, and leave ineffective every person, devil, and force of hell that would try to bring about violence, war, or any form of destruction in America!
We decree that the ferocious mercy of God will unleash a great and mighty move of the Holy Spirit, bringing awakening, revival, and harvest to the United States of America the likes of which have never been seen before in the history of the world!
We decree that, as God’s chosen people, we will finally use our full authority and power as co-heirs with Christ to operate in the supernatural on a daily basis where signs, wonders, and miracles are commonplace and any semblance of “ordinary Christianity” is out of the ordinary!
We wait in the hope of Your rescue!
We are confident that You can and will do all of this and more! We decree and declare it be done in the Holy Name of the Lamb who was slain, JESUS! Amen!
Don’t you feel better, now? Isn’t it good to know that you are not “of those who draw back to [destruction], but of those who believe to the saving of the soul?” (Hebrews 10:39).
Still speaking, standing, and believing,
Morgan
P.S. Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me” (Matthew 25:45). Consider that the “least of these” are unborn children. If you do not speak up on their behalf, it is as if you do not speak up on behalf of Christ. So, how will you speak up for Christ? By voting for Joe Biden or Donald Trump? It’s pretty simple, folks. The former represents death to the unborn and the latter represents life to the unborn. Choose accordingly.
P.P.S. To make your voice heard at the polls, but you must be registered to vote. Registration windows have closed already in some states, but some allow voter registration even up until the day of the election. Click here to find out how to register in your state: https://vote.gov/.
Also, make every possible effort to vote in-person. If you absolutely have to vote by mail, make sure you only apply for an ABSENTEE BALLOT. It is the safest available method of mail-in voting.
Do not be afraid, but in wisdom and prudence, you should consider making a few practical preparations for the week of the election. For example, stocking up with enough food, water, and other essentials (e.g. medicines) for a week or two. Let Holy Spirit guide you on what to do and what not to do. The Lord bless you and keep you, always!
STOP! Don’t share this post on social media! If you are afraid of cancel culture and Big Tech censorship, then do NOT share this post. Because they will go after you for sharing this kind of material, a.k.a. the Truth. (Just like they are doing to evangelist Mario Murillo.) Don’t for a second believe they won’t. Sharing is not for the faint of heart. But go do it anyway.
