This is a holy moment.

Shhhhh. Don’t speak. This is a holy moment. Do not corrupt it with cheap words.

Yes, we are standing on holy ground before a Holy God. Let us not defile that which God has sanctified. Take off your dusty, soiled sandals and remove every hindrance, so that you may encounter the I AM with your whole being.

Yahweh is a personal God, and He wants to meet you right where you are. Hear the call of the I AM. He desires to touch you today in a way unlike you have ever felt. It is time for you to stop the striving, escape the cacophony of the world, and turn aside to the Father.

This is the day of visitation we have long been praying for! We are truly on the precipice of the greatest revival in the history of the world. I promise you this is no prophetic cliché, my friends. President Trump will return, the King of kings will be glorified, and the whole earth will be filled with His glory!

There is only one way for you to be prepared for what is coming. Are you ready to face the good, the bad, and the ugly? I know I’m not. For as many reasons that I have heard people suggest in trying to explain the delay of Trump’s victory announcement, I think one of the biggest and most overlooked is the simple fact that we were not ready four months ago to handle the overwhelming goodness and wickedness of what shall be revealed. The good is so much better than you can imagine. The evil is so much worse than you can imagine.

I am grateful for the delay because this time has allowed me to finally reach the end of my human efforts. All of my life, and especially lately, I have often been guilty of overworking and being constantly driven. I have pushed and pulled, slaved and strove. But now more than ever, I am feeling the Lord drawing me away to spend time with Him.

Oh, boy. It has never been more challenging in this life to both discern the beckoning voice of God and be willing to say “no” to the countless distractions that vie for your attention. Believe me when I say that learning to embrace times of waiting and resting is just as important and just as difficult as learning to embrace times of testing.

What we don’t need to do right now is acquire more knowledge or expend all of our energy on carnal works. Over the past few months, most of us have been focused on doing good things, sharing the truth, waking the sheep from their sleep, destroying demonic strongholds, and just building the Kingdom, in general. Now is the time to lay down that which is good and pursue that which is best. Learn to embrace rest. This is your proving ground, your preparation for the next season. Can you wait on the Lord?

“The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord” (Lamentations 3:25-26).

The Bridegroom wants a bride who will patiently and expectantly wait on Him. Those who are found faithful in the waiting will receive His best gifts. What groom would be eager to lavish a bride who is not seriously committed to their relationship, who quits at the first sign of adversity?

The Lord often works best in our silence; thus, it is good for us to “hope and wait quietly.” Well, here we are in a blackout, and we are discovering exactly what it means to wait for the vision even though it tarries (Habakkuk 2:3). We are finding out firsthand what our biblical heroes experienced during the time in between the promise being given and the promise becoming manifest. Scripture tells us they had their doubts and moments of complaining, but they persevered nonetheless.

So, what have you been doing during our little blackout? Moaning and groaning to the Lord that it’s too painful and you just want the miracle to happen yesterday? Yeah, I’ve had my moments, too. Perhaps it is time for us to sit silently before the Lord and let God be God.

These days, I am finding I don’t want to pray all that much—not because I have drifted away from God, but because I realize words cannot suffice for what needs to be said. I know what He has promised. I know He cannot and will not renege on His promises. Lord knows that I am committed to doing whatever needs to be done to save America.

But all at once, I feel a sorrow and a joy too great for words. Sometimes, the only thing I can do is sit in reverential silence. In truth, that is the best place one can ever come to. When we finally come to the end of ourselves and let go, that is when we allow God to work in us, to purify us, to hone us into His instruments of righteousness. But more than that, we come away from that moment truly knowing God (see Job 42:5).

I have to trust that even if I cannot open my mouth to pray, even if the only thing I can do is know that He is God, then that is more than enough. And if more is needed, then Holy Spirit will make up the difference.

“Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God” (Romans 8:26-27).

Yes, there is an intercession that cannot be uttered in any human language. When you invite Holy Spirit into your life, you can trust Him to perfectly intercede for you according to the perfect will of God. I am so thankful that the Lord gave me His Spirit because I know my own fallible words are insufficient.

To be honest, I almost feel that begging the Lord to do things I already know He has taken care of, things He already knows are in my heart, would be a sacrilege because of what He is doing in this season for the sake of His Name and His sovereign will. Though I still pray as various needs drop into my spirit, I am not spending hours on my knees in travail and deep intercession. Like thousands of others, I have devoted much time over the last five years to pouring out my heart before the Lord, repenting and asking Him to save this beloved nation of ours.

What else can we do? Can we force God’s hand? He has already promised us the victory. Is it now our responsibility to pray America into her breakthrough? No. You and I cannot figure this out with our intellectual might or worm a miracle out of God. There are instances when it is through our prayers that mountains move (see Matthew 17:20), but then there are instances when God demands that we do nothing more than stand still and watch Him bring us His salvation (see Exodus 14:13).

I would never tell you not to pray. But I am also convinced that the only thing left for us to do is rest and leave it all in His capable hands; to fully trust in His goodness, His promises, His peace, His mercy; to lay ourselves on the altar as a living sacrifice and say without reservation, “Father, Your will be done.”

We have been waiting for God to break through, but what if He has been preparing a people who will wait on Him, who will yield to His will and His timing? Whether we like it or not, this interlude is necessary for molding us into vessels worthy of hosting the greater glory. Because very soon and at just the right moment, the Lord will impart to us a greater level of righteousness, download new revelations, anoint us with fresh mantles, and unleash an unprecedented outpouring of His Glory on the earth. It is literally going to be biblical (see Joel 2:28-29). Will you be the one found waiting?

As for me, I am unable to move on. I am unable to go back to life as usual. I am paralyzed in waiting. The Holy Spirit is hovering over this moment even as He hovered over the waters at the beginning of creation (Genesis 1:1-2). At this very hour, He is doing a new thing in the earth (Isaiah 43:18-19). I am willing to wait for as long as it takes because I know cannot survive on yesterday’s glory.

More than anything you could say in these coming days, your stillness is what will allow God to work in you and prepare you for what comes next. Like Jesus, you can rest in peace and sleep through the storm, knowing that anything the devil throws at you is doomed to fail because you have a God-given destiny to fulfill.

When everyone around you is hysterical and screaming, “We’re gonna die! We’re gonna die!”, you can be confidently calm that what God has said will come to pass, and no deluge of wind and waves will be able to dampen your faith. When everyone around you is scrambling to get things done that don’t need to be done, you can be sitting at the feet of Jesus.

“Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word. But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, ‘Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.’

“And Jesus answered and said to her, ‘Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her’” (Luke 10:38-42).

Unlike her preoccupied sister, Mary recognized that there was a sacred holiness in the air. When the Son of God visited her home, she stopped running, sat down at Jesus’ feet, and observed that holy moment. Mary refused to let the distractions of life interfere with the divine opportunity that literally sat before her.

Meanwhile, Martha had treated that day like any other. Someone had stopped by for a visit, so she assumed her normal, everyday role as hostess. I wonder if she became jealous of her sister when she saw her sitting at the feet of Jesus or if she was just exasperated with Mary for shirking her duties. Whatever the case, I am quite certain Martha expected Jesus to praise her for her diligent service and scold Mary for being lazy.

Oh, what a shock it must have been to hear those words, “Mary has chosen that good part.” What a shock it will be to many religious leaders when they get to heaven and find out that the most honored servants of God are not the ones who won the most souls but the ones who sacrificially ministered to the heart of the Father.

Rather than falling prey to carnal temptations, Mary chose to feast upon the words of Jesus. And in that time she spent listening to Him, she received a soul-touch from Jesus that will outlast time itself. Our temporal flesh will one day perish, but the Word of God is everlasting (see Matthew 24:35). As you intentionally take time to listen to Jesus, you are laying up for yourself “treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Matthew 6:20-21).

Are you like Martha, running around and worrying about many things? You assume that it is your service the Lord desires of you. Ministering and serving indeed have their place, but don’t you know that “one thing is needed?” Nothing else matters in this life but knowing God and letting Him transform you into His image (2 Corinthians 3:18).

Our God is a jealous God. He just wants you. All of you. And all that He asks for is total surrender. You might think that sounds utterly ridiculous. Like, isn’t there something else you have to do?

No, and that’s the point. You actually can’t do anything else. You could never do enough to earn His Love. You just have to say “yes.” Invite Jesus into your life and ask Him to do a deep work in your heart.

This is a holy moment. Everything else can wait. Take a few minutes, or a few hours, and be still. Lay down all the distractions, pressures, and cares of this life. If you’ve never had quiet time with God, there is no perfect formula, but you can start by reading a few verses of Scripture and asking God to speak to you. Then, just lean back and listen to His heartbeat. Let His heart speak to your heart.

You might not feel or hear anything right away, but that’s okay. Right now, you are breaking ground for a deeper relationship with the Father. He is a personal God, and He will speak to His children who take the time to listen.

If you truly want to be changed, this is what the Lord will do for you: “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh” (Ezekiel 36:26). When you are met by Love, the change is undeniable. Will you turn aside to experience the glory of God?

“Joshua told the people, ‘Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you’” (Joshua 3:5).

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens … a time to be silent and a time to speak” (Ecclesiastes 3:1, 7b).

“In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and confidence shall be your strength” (Isaiah 30:15).

“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” (Psalm 46:10).

Those of us who wait on God will find supernatural rest and healing at the feet of Jesus. I urge you not to miss this moment when Heaven meets Earth “like a sloppy wet kiss,” when the King of the universe reaches down and brands His creation with a fresh touch of His Love. I, for one, don’t want my busyness to cause me to be passed over when the Lord passes by in all His Glory.

Observe this holy moment with the Father, and you will receive a soul-touch from Him that you will carry into eternity, and no one will ever be able to take it away from you.

Say a prayer like this. Say it out loud if you can.

Dear Lord, I come to You as a sinner. I confess that I have sinned and fallen short of Your glory. I humbly ask You to forgive me. Thank You for loving me so much that you sent Your Son Jesus to die for me on the cross. I accept His sacrifice as payment for my sins. Jesus, come into my heart and make me new. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Today, I make you the Lord of my life.

I have died to my sin, and I have risen with Christ in His resurrection. I resolve to serve You with my whole being. I surrender my heart and soul to Your all-consuming fire because I know You don’t take anything without giving something even better in return. Help me to continually grow in faith and love. I want to know You better and deeper every day. Thank You so much for saving me and loving me! In Jesus’ Name. Amen!

Congratulations, brother or sister! Your new life starts now. You are now a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). You now have a home in Heaven with Jesus forever! Nothing will ever separate you “from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:39)! Your future is so bright!

Step by step, you will learn to hear the Father’s voice and follow His guiding. I highly encourage you to start reading the Bible every day. It is the inspired Word of God, and it is His love letter to you. Oh, how He loves you! He is truly all that you need.
